Our second production of Pinot Noir drew us further north up the coast to a wonderful set of vineyards in Napa Valley. Whilst the valley is not known for producing a lot of Pinot Noir we were fortunate enough to find the right kind of fruit that would deliver a distinct style of Pinot Noir that is soft, yet rich and has a well-balanced texture, is medium bodied in a way that we think an expressive & complex Pinot Noir should be. We're firm believers that if you have the best fruit grown in the correct conditions you should be able to make truly great wine.
The 2016 displays elegant tannins and a bright acidity that draws the abundance of fruit through the palate. Intense red currants and plums coupled with wet forest floor aromas are dominant on the nose. Delicate fruits and cardamom, clove and vanilla spices line the long palate.
